* Did you know that "The Great Escape" was the theme song for the sixth edition of enTrance which was held in March 2010 at the Luczniczka Arena in Poland? * Rank 1 have now been responsible for eight official theme songs for Trance events since 1999! Their previous anthems/themes include: Their previous anthems/themes include "Airwave" (Innercity 1999), "Superstring" (Rank 1 Remix) (Sensation 2000), "Such Is Life" feat. Shanokee (Sensation 2001), "The Anthem 2003" (Sensation White 2003), "Beats At Rank-1 Dotcom" (Trance Energy 2005), "L.E.D. There Be Light" (Trance Energy 2009) and "Symfo" (Sunrise Festival 2009). * The Great Escape was the second official Rank 1 vs. Jochen Miller collaboration. It was the predecessor to "Wild And Perfect Day" (2012) and the follow-up to "And Then..." (2008). * Close to TGE's release, Benno said he was remixing it, hinting at a potential alternate version for The Great Escape. The four previous singles ("Life Less Ordinary", And Then..., L.E.D. There Be Light and Symfo) received alternate Rank 1 versions but alas... As of 2025, this hypothetical The Great Escape (Rank 1 Remix) has never been released or even teased for that matter. * Armin van Buuren picked The Great Escape as Tune Of The Week on Episode #438 of his A State Of Trance radioshow which aired on Thursday January 7th, 2010.
