* This is the second official collaboration between Armin and Rank 1. Their very first collaboration was "This World Is Watching Me" (2006, feat. Kush). * Armin and Benno discuss all the ins and outs about this track on the ASOT Podcast about Armin's A State Of Trance Forever album on September 29th 2021. * The track was created with the JP8000 with the intention of creating a pure millenial Trance melody. * Armin derived the title from something he read somewhere that said "The Greater Light To Rule The Day". Since "Night" made more sense to be ruled by greater light, Armin changed that last bit. He also intended it as a bit of homage to Rank 1's L.E.D. There Be Light. * This track was featured on Armin's "A State Of Trance Forever" album, where he collaborated with other established (Trance) Legends such as Sander van Doorn, M.I.K.E. Push, Maor Levi and Jorn van Deyenhoven as well as newer names like AVIRA. * Armin van Buuren picked The Greater Light To Rule The Night as Tune Of The Week on Episode #1027 of his A State Of Trance radioshow which aired on Thursday July 29th, 2021.
