* Rank 1's Live Perfomance at ASOT #950 in February 2020 was streamed and recorded live on both Rank 1's Youtube channel as well as ASOT's. The release of this liveshow on Spotify later in July that year came as a complete surprise as they only ever released their Trance Energy 2002 live performance on DVD before (and released it once again on Spotify in 2022 as part of the 20-year anniversary of their debut album Symsonic). * This liveshow debuted two brand new tracks at the time through "Transatlantic Communication" and "Paris Nice Cannes". They had actually debuted "No Name" and "Predictive Memory" 2 year prior at Dreamstate SoCal 2017! * The peculiar thing about No Name is how the guys decided to call their originally untitled track "Untitled" again, be it by using a funny synonym whilst directly defying its untitledness by giving it an actual title! Are you confused yet? They might as well have called this "Rank 1 - ID"! * Besides the fact it merges a Reinier Zonneveld-esque Techno aesthetic with a Classic Trance styled breakdown, Paris Nice Cannes stands out due to its incredibly catchy and silly Dutch lyrics: As a non-Dutch speaker it will make no sense but the joke lies in the word "kan". In Dutch kan refers to either "having the possibility to do X (similar to the English verb "can") OR it refers to a "pot" as in coffee/tea pot. So translated to English the lyrics become absolutely non-sensical whilst remaining pretty punny in Dutch: "Nothing is possible, everything is possible, nothing is possible, coffeepot" or "Nothing is possible, everything is possible, nothing is possible, coffee is possible". That's Piet and Benno humor to the core! :D
