❓ Did you know that "Beats At Rank-1 Dotcom" was premiered during this Rank 1 Special??
❓This was the very first Rank 1 guestmix of this kind on the A State Of Trance radioshow!
❓ During the special Piet, Benno and Armin talk about their upcoming Mix Compilation, their new single, their next album as well as the reason why Benno doesn't DJ and where Piet will be rocking the decks next among other things. Outside of the known Rank 1 singles, Piet and Benno also revealed a nonsense track they made for fun, their unreleased, rejected Rank 1 Remix for Chakra - Home, an unreleased and Untitled Hardstyle-ish track as well as their sideprojects Sensation - The Anthem 2003 and Mac J - Nightware... Talk about a treasure trove for Piet and Benno fans! :D
❓ At the end of the episode Armin thanks the guys for their time and praises them and everything they do for Trance. Piet says it was really fun and then goes on to jokingly ask if they should drop by again next week. Armin proceeds to laugh and suggests they meet up again a year later, hinting at a possible album release by that time. Piet then goes on to suggest they should do a 24-hour marathon of sorts to which Armin replies "Armnin and Rank 1 Only", causing all three of them to laugh. What's particularly fascinating about this exchange is how it sort of foreshadowed what would happen from 2006 onward: Armin van Buuren vs. Rank 1 became a reality when they made "This World Is Watching Me", after which Armin invited the guys to do a Rank 1 Live performance at Armin Only 2006. Following that collab Benno and Armin clicked so well, it l.e.d. to their 2008-2023 producer-partnership that spawned some incredible albums such as Imagine (2008), Mirage (2010), Moons Of Jupiter (2019) and A State Of Trance Forever (2021)!
