The fourth single to be taken from Cosmic Gate's 'Back 2 The Future' album, 'Fire Wire' has been given a root and branch remix overhaul, spanning several different dance music disciplines. From the trance quarter Rank 1 and Cosmic Gate themselves have both gotten to grips with F.W., reworking it using tougher, leaner musical methodology than the original. On their Rank 1 remix, Benno de Goeij and Piet Bervoets have opted for a moody deep trance excursion. Complete with hissing industrial effects, mood-infused synths and a slow-cook build, it climaxes with a steel-tough synth pay-off.

❓ Did you know that "Fire Wire" was the second Rank 1 Remix the guys made for Cosmic Gate? The first was "Analog Feel" (Rank 1's Digital Re-harsh) (2007).
❓ On their part, Cosmic Gate had previously remixed "Awakening" (2002) and "This World Is Watching Me" (2007).
❓ Despite having mutually remixed each four and two times respectfully and even though Benno de Goeij and Nic Chagall worked together on "100" (as well as the ASOT 2023 Anthem "REFLEXION"), there has never been an official Cosmic Gate vs. Rank 1 collaboration. Let's hope it happens in 2026!
